Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as a content update?
What do you update as part of the Monthly Website Care Packages?
As websites get older, they become vulnerable to hacking attempts. Hosting server upgrades can also have an impact on the functionality of your website, especially if you are running on outdated Content Management Systems. Furthermore, Browser updates can also have an impact on the accessibility of your site. WordPress regularly releases updates to the core system to fix reported bugs, address security issues, add new features, and to comply with the latest web standards. We will monitor your website and implement system as well as plugin and theme updates.
Can’t I just do my own updates?
You could, but system updates/upgrades are best left to experienced web developers. Before running any update, it is important to make a full backup of the website and database in case something goes wrong and a roll-back is required.
Our skill set also ensures that we know what update issues to look out for and address. When an updates becomes available, we will first do our research, to ensure that the update package is stable and to learn more about known conflicts. After any update is done, the website is tested to ensure that everything functions as expected, and if not, any issues are fixed.

What is a Theme/Template Change?
Your website includes an active Divi Child theme which manages the overall look and feel of the site. This would include things like the menu color, layout and functionality; website background color; fonts and font sizes. Content on the page will be styled as you want, but any major design changes would equate to a theme or template modifications. Our Advanced Website Care Package does allow for changes to the theme or template.
What are the payment terms for monthly services, and do I have to sign a contract?
You will be invoiced in advance, at the end of every month for monthly services, and invoices are payable on receipt (all invoices sent via email only). Payments can be made via EFT, Wire Transfer or PayPal. The service is subject to a 30 day cancellation period, with no lengthy contracts. Please note that monthly services are only available to existing website development clients.
Can you help me with AdWords?
Our standard Organic SEO Service Packages do not include the management of AdWords or any other PPC service. Most of our clients are freelancers, or run small to medium sized business, with limited marketing budgets.
If you do have a larger budget, and want to invest in AdWords campaigns, please feel free to contact us.
Should I use AdWords?
Every industry is unique and has its own set of challenges, so you will require a solid PPC strategy in order to see any real growth. That being said, if your competitors are already “paying to play” instead of relying on organic SEO, and if you have the budget for it, you may want to start using AdWords.
How Much Does Google AdWords Cost?
The average small to medium business that is running successful campaigns using AdWords spend between $8,000 and $10,000 per month on their Google paid search campaigns.
Why don't you list link building as part of your SEO service?
